About

For the benefit of search engines, people with too much time on their hands and those simply curious to know more about me I've included a short biography.

I was born in London, but brought up in Ipswich, where I attended St. Joseph's College and Northgate Sixth form. After a gap year, spent working in bars, on production lines and refurbishing houses I resumed my education at the University of Teesside, Middlesbrough, where I studied Computer Science. I emerged after four years (which included a fantastic placement year at ICL in Manchester) with 1st class honours and the Henry Williams Technical prize for best overall performance.

Tshupe Rather than staying for graduation, I headed straight for Sydney, Australia where I worked as systems administrator for Thommos Gaming PLC, before contracting as a computer operator for Vodafone. I also played soccer for the mighty Chatswood Rangers and started developing web sites in my spare time. I returned to the UK a year later, moved to London and found work with the software engineering arm of Marconi. I bought a flat, met a wonderful girl called Tshupekile (shoe-pay-killer) and made some good friends working on-site at the Marks And Spencer Data Center in Uxbridge.

Unfortunately London proved too expensive, so Tshu and I left our jobs and moved to Ipswich where we could afford a nicer home. We were married on 6th July 2002 in Lilayi Lodge, Zambia and had one of the best weddings of all time. A weeks build-up of traditional Zambian wedding ceromnies that involved baked catepilers, field rat and the legendary chicken-poo-pie. Week one ended with the wedding day, the leader of the National Dance Brigade pushing sharp sticks through his cheeks and the band finishing up on Roy Chubbie Browns "Living Next Door To Alice"!

The wedding party spent the following week white water rafting and on safari based at the Royal Livingstone Hotel, which is situated almost on top of the Victoria Falls, Livingstone. We had so much fun in Zambia that Tshu and I returned from the honeymoon in Mauritus a week early - it just didn't compare! (We made up for the disappointment by staying at the Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico for our anniversary).

Back to Ipswich, I work for a IT consultancy company called Smart421 and Tshu is a senior pharmacist at the local hospital. We're excited to be putting our carears on hold for a few months and temporarily relocating to Melbourne from October 2003. People are expecting us to stay, but even though Australia has the most happy and relaxed of environments, family and friends are too important to us.
